You may not be Catholic, I am not, but I have found Lent to be a wonderful ritual to honor and reflect. This will be my 4th time partaking in Lent. I plan to give up coffee.
Lent begins tomorrow - Ash Wednesday, February 18th and continues through Easter Sunday on April 5th.
It is traditionally referred to as 40 days of fasting and reflection, although the full season is actually 46 days. The six Sundays are not counted as fasting days, so if you choose to fast, Sundays are typically a reprieve.
This sacred season is a time to release what no longer serves and return to what is essential. It is a time of reflection.
Whether you observe it devotionally or symbolically, Lent offers a powerful container for awareness, discipline, and spiritual reset. ✨
